The Rattlesnake was a missile with exceptional accuracy, carried only by the ASC Bumblebee reconnaissance aircraft. A small missile with a relatively short range, it had a standard cylindrical body with two cruciform fin sets and four additional seeker heads around the nose and main seeker. It was designed as a missile with very high accuracy for use against insurgents, and could, because of the small warhead, also be used in built-up areas. In the latter Robotech Wars the missile played only a minor role, being to light and slow to be used against the heavy mecha of the Masters, and against the Invid the 'sniper' nature of the missile clashed with the habitual numerical superiority of the Invid.
