History:
As the heavy, long range artillery of the Zentraedi infantry, the Moloch missile in all its variants is hard-hitting, accurate and reasonably hard to intercept. However, to fully utilize its long range, the Regult HAP requires a second target designator platform. This usually takes the form of orbital observation, or Quel-Quallie cq. Regult TS designation. The Moloch missiles follow the standard form of Zentraedi missiles: a forward LLLTV/IR seeker on top the warhead section, a wasp-waisted air intake section, and the engine section with four deployable radar aerials.
The Moloch has six known variants: the standard HE version, an identical version with a plasma warhead, a nuclear version, and two versions with submunitions (small missiles and mines, respectively). The sixth variant mounts a rocket engine and a directed fragmentation warhead; it is a space optimized version of the Moloch, and has never been seen used inside an atmosphere.
