History:
This missile is used by the Regult Light Artillery Pod against the more hardened targets, such as bunkers and mecha. Though it has BVR capabilities, this missile does require a secondary targeting platform (most often a Del Regult Scout Pod) for terminal guidance if launched in this mode, and thus is somewhat limited in this role.
The Megrim is distinguishable from the other Regult LAP pod air-breather missile by its unsegmented design. The casing of the missile is thick and made from hardened steel, which gives the missile the ability to serve as a penetrator by breaching the armor and exploding in the insides of a target. As with all Zentraedi missiles, a combined IR/visual sensor is mounted in the forward tip, and four radar aerials can deploy from the rear.
