The Hothead was a development of the GH-32. Mounting an even smaller engine, the Hothead carried a plasma warhead to its target with even less speed than the already slow GH-32.
A very low range missile, the Hothead was little more than a rocket propelled incendiary grenade, but lethal even in a near-miss. Consequently, the missile was often used as a point defense missile for the launching mecha, frying the electronics of incoming missiles or destroying any Zentraedi that came too close.
The Hothead was carried in the hip launchers of the Armored Valkyrie, and in the forearm launchers of the Super Valkyrie. The missile remained in production until 2016, but the stocks were sufficiently large for the Hothead to be deployed until the retirement of the Super Valkyrie.
